ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The northbound lanes of I-275 at mile marker 22 are blocked due to an injury crash that happened before 3:30 p.m. Thursday. 

Florida Highway Patrol is working to learn more about what led to this crash and has not indicated how many people and vehicles were involved or have specified the severity of injuries at this time.

RUSKIN, FL – A Hillsborough County deputy was sent to the hospital after getting hit by a male driver who ran a red light and was suspected of being impaired Thursday. 

This collision took place before 4 a.m. on College Avenue along U.S. Highway 41, FOX 13 News reported. The driver who ran a red light – 24-year-old Eduardo Casto – operated a Hyundai SUV. 

Castro was impaired, having a blood alcohol content level of .124 and .119. He was arrested and charged with driving with a valid driver’s license and driving under the influence with personal damage.

TAMPA, FL – A pickup truck driver fatally struck a cyclist, a man in his 40s, on the 2100 block of West Waters Avenue Thursday.  

This fatal wreck took place in the Twin Lakes Lakefront area. WFLA said the cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic when he was unintentionally hit by the pickup truck driver. 

The cyclist (whose name was not released) fell from his bike and had CPR conducted on him. However, despite the best efforts of first responders, he succumbed to fatal injuries.

BRADENTON, FL – Sarasota County first responders were called to a collision at the I-75 and FL-64  intersection after 4 p.m. Wednesday. 

Officials are investigating the exact details of this crash and have not yet said if anyone was hurt or how many people and vehicles there were.

TAMPA, FL – The northbound lanes on I-275 are blocked due to an injury crash that happened along Seminole Heights Elementary School around 4 p.m. Wednesday. 

This collision took place at mile marker 47, and troopers had arrived at the scene before 4:30 p.m., according to the FHP live traffic report page

It is not immediately clear what led to this motor vehicle accident or how many people and vehicles there were.

TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police were dispatched to a crash at the North 39th Street and East Clifton Street intersection in the Live Oaks Square area Wednesday. 

Police have yet to reveal the specific cause of this collison, indicate if anyone was injured, and say how many people and vehicles were involved.

DUNEDIN, FL – A hit-and-run collision at the Colony Drive and Main Street junction in Dunedin resulted in injuries Tuesday. 

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene after 7 p.m. and arrived at the scene after 7:16 p.m. 

Troopers did not say if the injuries were minor or major, reveal what contributed to the crash, or indicate how many people and vehicles were involved.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL – At least one person sustained injuries in a crash at the North Sumter Boulevard and Ulman Avenue intersection in North Port Tuesday. 

Sarasota County fire crews arrived at the scene before 4 p.m. It is not immediately clear what brought on this collision, how many vehicles and people were involved, and if the injuries were minor or major.

TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police were on the scene of a collision that happened at the East Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive intersection Tuesday afternoon.

TAMPA, FL – At least one lane is blocked on northbound I-275 at mile marker 48, and injuries were sustained following a Monday evening crash. 

Florida Highway Patrol was called to the collision site before 6:45 p.m. and arrived ten minutes before 8 p.m. at 7:50 p.m. 

It is not immediately clear what led to this crash, how many vehicles or people were involved, or if the injuries were minor or major.
