News: 2 lives claimed in 7-vehicle crash in Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL – A 38-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy died in a seven-vehicle collision on U.S. 301 near Tallevast Road Friday. 

ABC Action News said a driver of a car struck a second vehicle. The impact of this collision caused the second automobile to go into a right-turn lane and hit another vehicle before rolling over. As a result, the woman and boy who were occupants of the second vehicle, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene, and four vehicles also crashed into one another, creating a domino effect. 

Troopers also said the driver of the first vehicle — a 25-year-old man — was seriously injured,, and three other occupants sustained unspecified wounds.
