WIMAUMA, FL – One person suffered serious injuries in a collision involving a cement truck and a Corvette that occurred in Wimauma early Friday.
According to WTSP, the collision took place around 5:35 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 674 and County Road 579.
According to authorities, a Corvette was traveling in the west on SR-674 when it swerved into the path of an eastbound cement mixer truck, resulting in a head-on collision between the two vehicles.
The driver of the Corvette sustained severe injuries and was subsequently airlifted to Tampa General Hospital for medical attention. The truck’s driver was reportedly unhurt.
