TAMPA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol were called to a report of a hit-and-run crash outside a Walmart Supercenter on the 1505 block of North Dale Mabry Highway Monday.
Troopers were made aware of the collision before 5:45 p.m. and arrived at the scene after 6 p.m. They have not indicated the exact details of the crash or said if injuries were sustained.

TAMPA, FL – A driver of a black Ford F-150 struck a Tampa Police officer on West Busch Boulevard Saturday, sending him to the hospital.
The officer was responding to a report involving a person sleeping on the railroad tracks when he was struck by the pickup truck, according to ABC Action News. The force of the collision caused the officer to be dragged 75 feet.
First responders took an officer to a hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

SUN CITY, FL – A 39-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman from Tampa lost their lives after their sedan crashed into a tree and pole off U.S. 41 Wednesday, August 30.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the crash on Thursday, September 7, as indicated in a report from Tampa Beacon. It is unclear why the sedan driver — the 39-year-old Tampa man — veered off the road.
Another passenger from Tampa — an unidentified 46-year-old man — sustained serious injuries.
TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police were on the scene of a crash that involved a semi-truck driver not stopping for traffic and then crashing into a light pole Friday.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A pedestrian’s life was claimed in a hit-and-run collision on the 4000 block of Airport Road in Plant City before 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
Tampa Bay Times said that the male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name and age have not been released at this time. Plant City Police said that the vehicle that hit the man was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, with damage sustained in the collision. Police have found and identified the suspect — 27-year-old Miguel Rodriguez — and arrested him.
Rodriguez’s charges consist of “leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving while license suspended involving death or serious bodily injury.”
CLEARWATER, FL – Florida Highway Patrol were called to a collision on the 3580 block of Ulmerton Road before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
