SARASOTA, FL – First responders were called to the scene of a collision between a red car and a semi-truck on Fruitville Road East Friday.
The collision happened after Sarasota Center Boulevard and prompted emergency crews to shut down all of the eastbound lanes and close one westbound lane, according to My Sun Coast.
During the closures, drivers were asked to use Clark Road as an alternative route as delays continued to ensue in both directions.
Law enforcement has not shared the events leading to the collision or said if anyone was injured.
