News: Man in his 40s killed in Tampa bicycle, pickup truck crash

TAMPA, FL – A pickup truck driver fatally struck a cyclist, a man in his 40s, on the 2100 block of West Waters Avenue Thursday.  

This fatal wreck took place in the Twin Lakes Lakefront area. WFLA said the cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic when he was unintentionally hit by the pickup truck driver. 

The cyclist (whose name was not released) fell from his bike and had CPR conducted on him. However, despite the best efforts of first responders, he succumbed to fatal injuries. 

The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and will not face charges.
