TAMPA, FL – Wet road conditions led a driver of a Pasco County Fire Rescue ambulance to hydroplane on I-275 North and ram into a concrete wall Sunday.

The single-vehicle collision happened before 4:45 p.m. north of Fletcher Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol told WFLA that the driver was transporting the two patients on board to a Hillsborough County hospital when the crash happened.

The driver and patients were able to escape injuries despite significant damage done to the vehicle.

Another ambulance was able to take the patients to a hospital.
