WIMAUMA, FL – Three men were hurt, and a Dodge Charger driver lost his life when he crashed into a pickup truck after declining to stop at a stop sign Saturday.

ABC Action News said the Dodge Charger motorist — a 30-year-old man — drove north on 7th Street when he crashed into the eastbound Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The 30-year-old man was ejected from his car, and both vehicles rotated and came to rest on the shoulder.

First responders transported the 30-year-old man and his passenger, a 22-year-old man, both from Ocilla, Georgia, and the Ford driver,  a 21-year-old man, and Ford passenger, a 27-year-old man (both Wimauma residents) to local hospitals.

The 30-year-old man succumbed to fatal injuries at the medical facility, and his passenger sustained serious wounds. There has been no update on the current condition of the 22-year-old. Both did not wear a safety device.

The Ford occupants were being treated for minor wounds and are expected to survive.
