SARASOTA, FL – A man attempted to cross Clark Road and, during his walk, was hit by two vehicles, leading him to succumb to fatal injuries Saturday.

ABC Action News said this crash happened near when a sedan driver first hit him and then an SUV driver. The pedestrian, who was only identified as a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the sedan driver, a 24-year-old man from Sarasota, sustained minor injuries.

The other driver, a 34-year-old man, also from Sarasota, and his passenger, a nine-year-old child, were both unharmed.

Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not released other details.
