LARGO, FL – First responders are investigating the details behind a collision that happened at the intersection of Ulmerton Road and 66th Street North Wednesday.

Officials responded to the scene after 8 a.m., according to WTSP. Several law enforcement vehicles, ambulances, and one fire truck engine blocked two lanes.

Authorities were able to clear the scene within the hour.

NORTH PORT, FL – One person was injured in a vehicle accident that happened in the North Port neighborhood Monday afternoon. 

Sarasota County deputies were dispatched to the 17179th block of Tamiami Trail and arrived at the scene before 1 p.m. Officials have not announced any lane closures but do advise commuters to use caution as crews work to clear the scene. 

The exact cause of the crash, including the number of people and vehicles involved and the extent of injuries sustained, has not been reported.

TAMPA, FL – It took Florida Department of Transportation crews more than an hour to clear the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on I-275 North Thursday. 

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at exit 59, which led to Land O’Lakes and Tarpon Springs, according to WTSP. Officials removed the vehicles and reopened the affected northbound lanes by 7 p.m.

WESTCHASE, FL – Hillsborough County deputies are currently outside of the Publix Super Market at Westchase investigating a crash with injuries. 

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Countryway Boulevard and West Linebaugh Avenue and arrived at the scene just before 2 p.m. Officials have not announced any lane closures at this time. However, they do advise drivers in the area to proceed with caution as crews work to restore road conditions.

LAKELAND, FL – First responders airlifted a woman to a hospital, where she later died after a fiery collision that happened in Lakeland Tuesday, WTSP reports.

Florida Highway Patrol said the events unraveled when the woman lost control of her car while driving on the Kathleen Road off-ramp, which led to I-4. She veered off the ramp and crashed into a guardrail and wall, which caused her car to catch on fire.

Troopers identified the woman as a 36-year-old from Plant City.

FISH HAWK, FL – The Hillsborough County deputies are currently in Fishhawk Ranch investigating the details behind an injury crash.

Deputies were called to the intersection of Fishhawk Boulevard and Mosaic Drive and pulled up to the scene before 1:30 p.m. Authorities are working to learn more about the extent of the injuries that were sustained and the events that led to the crash.

TAMPA, FL – Two people were left with minor injuries following a rollover collision that happened in the College Hills area Tuesday.

Tampa Police told Fox13News that the collision happened around 3 a.m. in the area of N. 18th St. and E. 25th Ave. Officers said someone shot a moving vehicle with their gun. The driver then lost control of their vehicle, plowed into a tree, and then struck three parked cars, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Police confirmed no one was inside the parked cars. Officers are working to find the suspect who shot the moving vehicle.

TAMPA, FL – At least one person was injured in a collision that happened near the Tampa Executive Airport Wednesday afternoon.

Florida Department of Transportation crews told ABC Action News that the crash happened on the southbound lanes. After arriving, they shut down the southbound left lanes to clean up debris from the accident and for the Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation.

Troopers have not specified the exact cause of the collision, listed the number of people and vehicles involved, or said if anyone was cited or charged.

SARASOTA, FL – A truck driver failed to maintain his lane, causing him to crash into an SUV and leaving him and four others with serious injuries Tuesday. 

The two-vehicle collision happened after 1 p.m. on State Road 780, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Florida Highway Patrol said the pickup truck driver had driven in the westbound direction, drifted off the road, and then crashed into the SUV. 

Troopers identified the pickup truck driver as a 28-year-old local to Sarasota and the SUV driver as a woman from Sarasota. The woman had three teenage passengers with her, who were identified as a 13-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl.
