News: Troopers confirm injuries in crashes on Tampa Bay bridges

by

TAMPA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol reported injuries in two collisions that happened on two Tampa Bay bridges Friday.

WFLA said the first crash happened at approximately 11:48 a.m. at the Howard Frankland Bridge. It is not exactly clear how many vehicles and people were involved.

The second collision happened on the eastbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Causeway. It is unclear what exactly led to this crash. Troopers did, however, indicate that an SUV overturned and landed on its roof, and a sedan sustained some front-end damage. The occupants sustained minor injuries.

Major traffic delays occurred in the eastbound and westbound directions of these bridges. However, those delays died down when the scenes were cleared.
