News: Tampa Police officer hospitalized after W Busch Blvd. crash

TAMPA, FL – A driver of a black Ford F-150 struck a Tampa Police officer on West Busch Boulevard Saturday, sending him to the hospital. 

The officer was responding to a report involving a person sleeping on the railroad tracks when he was struck by the pickup truck, according to ABC Action News. The force of the collision caused the officer to be dragged 75 feet. 

First responders took an officer to a hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries. 

The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
