News: Speeding driver dies after car splits in half in Thonotosassa

THONOTOSASSA, FL – A 34-year-old man was traveling at a high rate, leading him to crash his Honda Civic into two sign supports, the car spitting in half, and resulting in his death. 

This collision occurred on the I-75 North off-ramp (just before U.S. 301) before 8 p.m. Sunday, according to WTSP

First responders rushed the man and the two passengers with him to area hospitals. Later, at the medical facility, the man succumbed to fatal injuries. 

No other vehicles or people were involved. 

The conditions of the occupants are unclear. Updates will be posted upon confirmation from officials.
