News: Officials called to I-275 crashes in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee Co.

HILLSBOROUGH, PINELLAS, & MANATEE COUNTY, FL – First responders were called to several collisions that happened on I-275 between 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. 

All these crashes occurred during the all-day heavy rains, according to WTSP

One crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on the I-275 Express South lanes before the Howard Franklin Bridge and involved a gray colored sedan, and the other happened on I-275 North before Roosevelt Boulevard. 

A third collision occurred after 6 a.m. on I-275 South along Ulmerton Road. The fourth crash involved a truck and took place before 7 a.m. on the I-275 South ramp connecting to I-175 East. The fifth crash was a rollover accident and happened at 7:15 a.m. on I-275 North. The sixth accident happened on  I-275 North past I-4 and resulted in a car losing its tire and breaking down. 

Officials did not report any injuries or specify the number of occupants involved.
