VENICE, FL – According to WFLA, a motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle collision on Englewood Road near Circlewood Drive on Friday.
A 60-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson north on Englewood Road when he tried to go around traffic by entering the left turn lane, and he slammed into the back of a pickup truck towing a trailer.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike in the collision.
First responders transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol’s traffic homicide unit.
