TAMPA, FL – A man was taken to a hospital and then to Orient Road Jail after causing a three-vehicle collision that resulted in a 59-year-old woman’s death Sunday.
The events of this wreck unfolded in the area of when the man — Jenri Fuentes Rodriguez — left a nightclub around 6 a.m., struck an occupied vehicle, and then fled the scene. WTSP said that Rodriguez then rammed into another automobile, fled the scene and down Waters at a high rate of speed, and then hit a third automobile, causing it to overturn multiple times.
The driver of the third victim vehicle, the 59-year-old woman, identified as Ann Marie Rutkowski, succumbed to fatal wounds.
Rodriguez was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening wounds and then to jail. He has been charged with vehicular homicide and will likely face additional charges.
