News: Man, 27, killed in motorcycle crash in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL – A 27-year-old man operating a motorcycle lost his life after crashing into a barrier off U.S. 19 North Monday, WTSP reports.

Clearwater police and Clearwater Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of the motorcycle crash after midnight and were told by an eyewitness that the motorcyclist was allegedly speeding, which caused him to lose control of his bike and succumb to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities have since identified the biker as Leon Webb. Officials issued a several-hour-long shutdown and have reopened all lanes since.
