RIVERVIEW, FL – Emergency teams responded to a serious collision along a major roadway in central Hillsborough County on the Fourth of July, reports Fox 13 News.
The crash occurred just before 5 a.m. near the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road in north-central Riverview, which is about 15 miles southeast of Tampa.
Authorities haven’t yet released any details regarding the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved, and it’s unclear if anyone required hospitalization.
Photos taken at the scene depict a white sedan with airbags deployed and significant damage to the driver’s side and rear of the vehicle.
Officials closed Bloomingdale Avenue in the area of the crash for at least an hour while crews worked at the scene.
