News: 1 killed in motorcycle crash in Tampa caused by DUI driver

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A motorcycle passenger lost her life after her motorcycle operator, who was intoxicated, crashed into a guardrail in Tampa Saturday. 

This collision happened before 4:15 a.m. at the northbound I-275 and eastbound I-4 junction, according to ABC Action News. First responders took the passenger, a 29-year-old woman, to a hospital, where she later died. 

Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcycle operator — 37-year-old Jonathon Wing — was riding a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle. 

Wing sustained minor wounds and was arrested for DUI manslaughter.
