Hit-and-run on Gandy Bridge seriously injures motorcyclist

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on the Gandy Bridge early Sunday.

According to a Patch report, the 20-year-old motorcyclist was heading west on the bridge at about 3 a.m. when he was struck by a Tesla Model 3 that was heading the same direction.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No updates on his condition are available at this time.

Upon investigation, troopers discovered vehicle parts at the crash site that were linked to the Tesla. They located the car at a Largo apartment complex, registered to its female owner.

It is unclear if any arrests have been made at this time.
