News: Motorcyclist loses life after crash with SUV in St. Pete 

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – EMS crews rushed a motorcyclist to Orlando Health Bayfront, where he later died after colliding with an SUV Saturday. 

ABC Action News said the crash happened after the driver of the Mazda SUV was turning from westbound 28th Avenue North onto southbound southbound Park Street North when they crashed into the motorcyclist. 

The motorcyclist was operating a Kawasaki Motorcycle at the time of the crash. He was later identified as 19-year-old Mason Derks. 

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with St. Petersburg police. Officers have not announced any charges or citations at this time.
